| For over 100 years Attwater & Liell have been offering help and advice to the people of London and Essex. Founded on the 26th August 1901 by Leonard W. Liell and Walter J. Attwater, the two initial offices were at Stratford and Bishopsgate in the City of London. Although Mr. Attwater died in March 1913 the name of the Partnership continued with Loughton in Essex being the next office opened. Harlow and Brentwood, also in Essex, followed in the mid 1950's, with the City office being closed in 1969. The Brentwood office closed on 30 June 2000 as part of a reorganisation and consolidation of activities. Today from its offices in Loughton and Harlow Attwater & Liell offer the full range of services you would expect to find in a high street civil law practice. In addition the firm offers specialist services in disciplines such as Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Tax Planning and Commercial Law. We aim to offer a personal approach to the law that treats you as an individual and not just a case number.
